How to delete your account
Account deletion is done from inside the app:
- Open the MacroLeaf AI app and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone. You do not need to contact support to delete your account — the in-app option above is all that's required.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following are permanently removed right away:
- Your profile (name, goals, health & nutrition preferences)
- Your diary entries, meal logs and recipes
- Your water, exercise and weight logs
- Your saved favourites
- Your login/authentication record — you will no longer be able to sign back in with this account
What may be retained, and why
A small amount of technical data is not deleted immediately, for security and reliability reasons:
- Diagnostic and error logs — anonymised technical logs (e.g. crash/error reports, API usage records) that may still reference your former account ID are kept for a limited period (typically up to 90 days) to help us investigate bugs and abuse. These logs do not contain your profile, diary, or health data once your account is deleted.
- Records required by law — if we are legally required to retain certain records (e.g. for fraud prevention or tax/accounting purposes), we retain only what the law requires and for no longer than necessary.
